A couple of weeks ago we shot Jesus and Jennifer’s portrait session in Los Angeles.  They are leaving for Europe for the holidays and wanted to take some pics to give to their family in Germany.  This portrait session and blog post is actually very special to us.  14 months ago, I called Jesus and Jennifer to see if it would be alright to take some pictures at their Belle Loreve wedding in Santa Paula.  I was a photography hobbyist at the time and I didn’t want to get in their wedding photographer’s way.  I just wanted another excuse to play with my film camera and maybe get some good shots for Jesus and Jennifer.  Who knew 14 months later I would be shooting their portrait session in LA on a professional level.  We were having a hard time writing this blog post because we could not believe how far we have come in little over a year… its just crazy… mind blowing… humbling.  We kept on stopping ourselves throughout this post, reflecting on all the things we’ve accomplished, all the clients we’ve gotten to know, all the moments we’ve shared, all the places we’ve been to, all the sacrifices, all the hard work and late nights… AND how blessed we are to do what we love to do.  THANK YOU Jennifer and Jesus for giving us a chance 14 months ago at your wedding.  THANK YOU for choosing us as your photographers and letting us do our thing 14 months later.  Enjoy the pics!  …and the slideshow!

Not only do we love taking pictures, but we also enjoy witnessing our client’s biggest steps in life.  In this case, it was Gavin Mateo’s (we love his name) baby step into a life following God.  Tami, Gavin’s mother, wanted us to snap some shots to record this epic event.  They had a small intimate dedication ceremony at their home in which Gavin’s grandfather delivered an awesome teaching and blessing.  Close family and friends were attendance to witness and celebrate Gavin Mateo’s big day.  Enjoy the pics!  …and the slideshow!

What could be a better surprise Christmas gift for your dear old mother than a family picture?  Gilbert rounded up his familia, and we rounded up our equipment.  We herded this family through Olvera Street and took shots of this 9 headed monster they call the Ramirez clan.  You would think getting 9 family members together for a shoot and spending time together was enough.  They climbed walls, moved furniture, walked in undersized shoes, and were chased by a security lady on a bike.  All this for their mama… ahhhh!  We had a great time with the Ramirez clan, especially after the shoot when we hanged out with them and had a bite to eat at King Taco (an anapaul fav).  Enjoy the pics!  …and the slideshow!

A couple of weeks ago, we were invited over to Ron and Renee’s home to shoot them and their two dogs, little Rascal and ol’ Cappi.  The photo session was sort of a day in the life at the Murphy’s.  It was to showcase their love for their dogs, wine, and their Harley’s.  But as we got into the session, it was the love between Ron and Renee that completely stood out.  We really wanted to show how happy they make each other.  Seeing their love inspired us so much that me and the wifey decided to go out on a lil’ mini date after the shoot.  We love our clients and how much they impact us.  We look forward to go wine tasting with the Murphy’s soon, and maybe they’ll let us ride their beloved Harley’s!  Hey, it’s wishful thinking… anyhow, enjoy the pics and the slideshow!
