This past week, our assistant in training, Adrian, did a small photo shoot at our office.  He wanted to take some pictures using his Sony point and shoot camera.  The photos came out awesome and we wanted to share them with you all.  As you will see by the pics below, Adrian has a unique and different perspective from most of the professional photographers out there.  If you like what you see, feel free to contact us to setup an appointment with Adrian.  Just to let you know, he does not take appointments between 1-3pm (he usually takes his naps around this time).  Adrian is currently saving money to upgrade his camera gear by using his proceeds from his photo shoots and allowance.  In case you did not know, our assistant Adrian is pictured at the top of our blog.  Girls, please no inquiries about his availability to date.   With preschool coming up, his naps, playing with his Marvel super heroes, and the appointments he will be booking from this blog post…he just won’t have time for the ladies.  (Just a note, all of these pics are straight out of the camera.  No pictures were edited…they’re just so amazing!)  Enjoy the pics…

Several weeks ago, I had the honor of assisting Mark Brooke Photographers in a wedding in Pasadena.  Not only did I have a great time photographing Eddie and Janet’s wedding, but also in witnessing their unique and beautiful traditional ceremonies.  Janet and Eddie were a blast to work with.  Eddie was just a cool cat and Janet was such a beautiful bride.  Enjoy the pics!

Last Friday, we wanted to give ourselves a night off from taking photos.  We went down to Juanita’s Restaurant in Highland Park for some live music, live art (yes…live!), drinks, great food, and hangin’ with friends.  Everything was going good until I stepped outside for some air.  The photographer in me noticed the scenery surrounding me and with the music playing within the restaurant…I couldn’t help but put the two together for some great photo opportunities.  So I grabbed my trusty camera equip and pulled a couple of bands outside for a few pics.  It kind of helped that the bands I grabbed were actual friends of mine so they were more willing to put up with my requests.  By the way, the two bands were Profugos (the nicer dressed gentlemen) and Trust A Fox (which you may remember from a previous post).  Oh yeah!  Just thought I would share a crazy moment related to this post.  As I was editing some of the photos in this post, we were watching the movie Yes Man with Jim Carrey.  I couldn’t beleive my eyes…there were some scenes in the movie that were shot at Juanita’s Restaurant; the same place where we were hangin’ out and shooting pics outside!!!  I did a double-take and a few pause-and-rewinds.  Crrraaaazzzzzzzy!

Last week we packed up our gear and headed east to sunny and, by the way, VERY windy Palm Springs.  A band called Trust A Fox, who are from Palm Springs, asked us to do their band promo shots.  For the shoot, we needed a cool background and these guys nailed it by taking us to a run down abandoned property.  If I could do a black flip I would have after seeing the location (even if I could have, with it being so windy it would have not been a good idea).  The location just gave us loads to work with and everything about it just had so much character.  We had a fun time exploring the location and hanging out with the Fox fellas, and oh yeah… taking their pictures (we LOVE our jobs)!  Image plays an important part of a band’s success…and we feel honored to be asked to complement someone’s music with our photography.  Enjoy the pics and afterwards enjoy Trust A Fox’s music by visiting their myspace page…
